"My Journey in Learning Sanskrit I have always had a passion for learning Sanskrit. Before joining Sanskrut Bhakti's (SB) class, I had tried joining a few different Sanskrit groups, but the consistency of the classes varied. I often felt that I had very little knowledge and found it difficult to keep up with others in the group. As a result, I began to feel that perhaps learning Sanskrit was beyond me. I was then introduced by a friend to SB's class. From the beginning, Bharat ji encouraged me and, most importantly, impressed upon me that if I really wanted to learn Sanskrit, I should commit myself to learning properly and take examinations. His words, “You should learn and do the exams, otherwise you will never learn,” stayed with me. That encouragement gave me the confidence and motivation to take the course seriously. I have been attending the course for a few months and have learned the basics of Sanskrit. What has impressed me most is the dedication and patience of Bharatji and the three other teachers, Ambiji, Divyaji and Lavanyaji. I have rarely come across teachers who devote so much time and effort to helping their students learn and progress. Another aspect of the course that I have found extremely helpful is the additional learning material provided to support our studies. We are given Quizlets, detailed notes, recordings of the classes, practice and test papers, videos and other resources. These materials allow us to revise at our own pace and reinforce what we learn during the lessons. We also have a weekly group discussion, which I have found particularly valuable. It gives us an opportunity to practise what we have learned, ask questions, clarify our doubts and learn from one another. The discussions have helped me understand the language better and have gradually increased my confidence in using Sanskrit. The classes have given me a strong foundation and, more importantly, the confidence to continue my Sanskrit journey. I am very grateful to my friend for introducing me to SB's class and to Bharatji, Ambiji, Divyaji and Lavanyajifor their encouragement, patience and dedication. I would wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone who has a genuine interest in learning Sanskrit.
