"The Beginners Course (Samsbashanam & Praveśa) is much more than a language class; it is a truly inspiring journey into the beauty of Sanskrit. The enthusiasm of the teachers, their clear and systematic explanations, and their constant encouragement motivate students to learn with confidence and joy. They patiently guide us through grammar, sentence construction, conversations, and literature, making even challenging topics easy to understand. What makes this course especially remarkable is the dedication of the teachers / volunteers beyond the regular classroom sessions. The additional study group meetings, homework discussions, revision classes, and doubt-clearing sessions provide invaluable support and ensure that no student is left behind. These extra efforts create a nurturing learning environment where students feel encouraged to participate, ask questions, and steadily improve their language skills. Equally inspiring is the sense of community that has developed among the learners. The opportunity to learn together, practise Sanskrit conversations, share knowledge, and support one another makes the learning experience enjoyable and meaningful. The teachers not only impart knowledge but also instill a genuine love and appreciation for Sanskrit and its rich cultural heritage. Their efforts remind us that teaching Sanskrit is not merely the transmission of a language, but the sharing of a timeless tradition and a priceless cultural treasure. I offer my sincere gratitude and respectful pranāmas to all the teachers and organizers who make this noble work possible.”

"My Journey in Learning Sanskrit I have always had a passion for learning Sanskrit. Before joining Sanskrut Bhakti's (SB) class, I had tried joining a few different Sanskrit groups, but the consistency of the classes varied. I often felt that I had very little knowledge and found it difficult to keep up with others in the group. As a result, I began to feel that perhaps learning Sanskrit was beyond me. I was then introduced by a friend to SB's class. From the beginning, Bharat ji encouraged me and, most importantly, impressed upon me that if I really wanted to learn Sanskrit, I should commit myself to learning properly and take examinations. His words, “You should learn and do the exams, otherwise you will never learn,” stayed with me. That encouragement gave me the confidence and motivation to take the course seriously. I have been attending the course for a few months and have learned the basics of Sanskrit. What has impressed me most is the dedication and patience of Bharatji and the three other teachers, Ambiji, Divyaji and Lavanyaji. I have rarely come across teachers who devote so much time and effort to helping their students learn and progress. Another aspect of the course that I have found extremely helpful is the additional learning material provided to support our studies. We are given Quizlets, detailed notes, recordings of the classes, practice and test papers, videos and other resources. These materials allow us to revise at our own pace and reinforce what we learn during the lessons. We also have a weekly group discussion, which I have found particularly valuable. It gives us an opportunity to practise what we have learned, ask questions, clarify our doubts and learn from one another. The discussions have helped me understand the language better and have gradually increased my confidence in using Sanskrit. The classes have given me a strong foundation and, more importantly, the confidence to continue my Sanskrit journey. I am very grateful to my friend for introducing me to SB's class and to Bharatji, Ambiji, Divyaji and Lavanyajifor their encouragement, patience and dedication. I would wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone who has a genuine interest in learning Sanskrit. Whether you are a complete beginner or have tried learning before, the guidance, resources and encouragement provided here can make a real difference. I look forward to continuing my Sanskrit studies and deepening my understanding of this beautiful and profound language.”

"I feel truly fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn Sanskrit from such wonderful and dedicated gurus. Learning Sanskrit has been a beautiful and enriching experience for me, and I am enjoying it more with every lesson. What touches me the most is the way you give your time and knowledge so generously, completely on a voluntary basis. Your patience, kindness, and wholehearted dedication are truly inspiring. You never make me feel hesitant about asking questions, even when I find something difficult, and you always take the time to explain things with such care. Your encouragement has given me confidence and made Sanskrit feel much more approachable and enjoyable. I deeply appreciate not only what you teach me, but also the warmth and enthusiasm with which you teach it. Thank you, dear Gurus, for giving your valuable time so selflessly and for sharing your knowledge with such a generous heart. "I am deeply grateful to the teacher and staff for their invaluable support throughout my Sanskrit studies. Prior to enrolling in their program, I had taken a course at another institution but struggled to retain and apply what I had learned. It was only after joining this course that my understanding of Sanskrit truly began to take shape, and my ability to practice the
language improved significantly. For anyone seeking a rigorous and well-structured Sanskrit instruction, I highly recommend Sanskrut Bhakti. The instructors are not only highly knowledgeable in their field but also exceptionally patient, kind, and supportive. Their teaching approach fosters both clarity and confidence, making this an ideal environment for
academic growth in classical language studies.”

"It is the best Sanskrit class that I have ever been to including my time at school when I was supposed to learn it but in a class of 60 to 100 attention to individual students was lacking as well as medium of instruction was not English making it impossible for me to learn it well not even to a decent level. Only now I am learning this divine language to an acceptable level if not very good.”

"My heartfelt dhanyawadha to Divya Ji, Lavanya Ji, and Ambi Ji for teaching us Sanskrit with immense dedication. Because of their efforts and thoughtful planning each week, i managed to learn to read and make small sentences in Sanskrit. Their teachings have set a sound foundation for me to carry on learning until I reach a stage where I can speak, write and read fluently. Dhanayawada again.”

"I had no intention of continuing with Sanskrit classes after completing IGCSE and HL1. The weekly schedule was demanding. But I was encouraged and convinced otherwise by my Gurus and peers. And another remarkable year has flown by! I knew I had to be committed, but the commitment of our Guru Sri Abnashji was much more than that of the students. He puts in hours of research every day, prepares materials for the session and home work, always punctual, willing to stay back after every class to answer questions, and always enthusiastic. His attitude put us to shame and forced us to pull up our socks ! In preparation for the exam he puts us through practice sessions with past papers and instills confidence in each and every one of us. What more can I ask for in a Guru? Gurubhyonamaha.”

"So far, the teaching on our Scriptures has given me a valuable exposure & knowledge on the numerous prayers and sacred texts which exist in our Sanatan Dharma. The once weekly session unfolds the qualities and forms of our deities and their purpose/reason of their Avatara at a specific time. The sessions help enormously to connect with our own true self, simultaneously focusing on the Paramatma. Jayeshji (our Guruji) is young & very knowledgeable in Sanskrit. He happily shares his Divine knowledge with all of us. I have to also mention the dedication of Vatsalaji (Soni) who monitors the group and ensures everyone gets the chance to participate. I am proud to be part of Sanskrut Bhakti 🕉️”

As parents, we always seek opportunities that enrich our children's lives and knowledge, and this class has been a perfect fit. Hemant Ji's approach is genuinely captivating, making each lesson engaging and enjoyable for kids of all ages. They incorporate fun activities and storytelling that not only keep the children attentive but also foster a deep appreciation for the Sanskrit language and its cultural significance. Even though it's run as volunteer activity, the supportive environment and the personalised attention each student receives are commendable. "Having successfully completed the IGCSE in middle of 2022, our batch was encouraged to embark on the pilot HL1 course set up by St James in collaboration with Sanskrut Bhakti. This was because the traditional AS/ A level Sanskrit exams set by the Cambridge Board was being discontinued. The syllabus taught in HL1 was akin to AS level. Credit goes to all the karyakars who worked behind the scenes to make this transition possible. Our heartfelt gratitude to them and especially our Gurus for sustaining our interest in this mighty mother of all languages - Sanskrit. It is to the credit of all the voluntary teachers and administrators that HL1 Sanskrit course is now offered to the new batch of students ( 23-24) and the original HL1 students have moved onto HL2. "I attended the Sanskrut Bhakti IGCSE Zoom classes and also managed to attempt the IGSCE exam covering Sanskrit Grammar and Epic Civilisation.I found the style of teaching, the brilliant support and the subsequent help with preparation for the exam really admirable. The teachers ( our Gurus) were very professional , supportive, and patient. I can not thank them enough for inspiring me to do my best, together with the help and attention they gave me. I would certainly recommend Sanskrut Bhakti classes to all interested in learning this beautiful ancient but grammatically precise language and Epic Civilisation of India.“

"My year of IGCSE Studentship was a very pleasant experience – with lots of fun and fears (which were negated by the Bhaktiful teachers!)”

"Best style of teaching by the most learned & friendly teachers with noble intentions. Thoroughly enjoyed the IGCSE course. Now I, a complete beginner, can fully write & actually read & understand some sanskrit & slokas. Absolutely recommend to anyone interested in learning Sanskrit”.
