 Student Numbers & Performance

Last Updated: 25/08/2023

We review the courses we offer yearly and make changes depending on student demand and our capability to meet the demand. The figures below are a summary of our student numbers presented by year and individual courses.

2023-2024: This is the 3rd academic year of Sanskrut Bhakti and further progress has been made by introducing the Higher Level 2 Course, in conjunction with Sanskrit@StJames as a progression to the Higher Level 1 course. Our student numbers have increased further and with registration numbers for two of the courses being finalised at the end of August 2023, we anticipate that the total number of registered students will increase by 50-75% on the previous year’s numbers.

2022-2023: This was the 2nd academic year of Sanskrut Bhakti which saw a substantial growth in the type of courses being offered which provided a good progression path for the students e.g. Beginners to IGCSE, IGCSE to Higher Level 1 or Scriptures. as shown below. An excellent development was the introduction of Higher Level 1 in conjunction with Sanskrit@StJames. This growth was only possible as many of our students chose to volunteer with us either in a teaching or administration capacity. The number of registered students grew by a phenomenal 150% from the previous year’s numbers.

2021-2022:This was the launching of Sanskrut Bhakti with the first academic year focusing on providing the IGCSE course leading to Cambridge Board Examinations. This was at a time when there was a serious risk that Cambridge Board would withdraw its IGCSE Sanskrit Qualification due to falling numbers of students taking its exam. Though many students enrolled with us initially, only 34 students took the exams and passed with excellent results.
